The Good Stuff:

  • Fels real nice in your hands
  • Buttons are place perfectly
  • You can adjust the cable easily and it is very flexable
  • Large Polytetrafluoroethylene feet make it really east to glide
  • Very nice well thought out design
  • the surface of the mouse is great, especially for sweaty hands
  • The new configurable dpi settings make it fast, quick, reliable, and precise
  • The new cable is really nice, it is easy to accommodate it the way you want it
  • The extra FF button makes this mouse one of the very best

The Bad Stuff:

  • The wheel is a little bit on the weak side and pressing down to use it as a button might cause you to spin it
  • Although the mouse is perfect for sweaty hands, you have to wonder if at some point is the mouse going to start to have some funny odors
  • The scroll wheel is really sensitive: when clicking down on a link to open a new tab , you could mistakenly click on the left/right scroll
  • There seems to be an issue with the +/- buttons, or dpi sensitivity

Review by Rodney L. ( The most helpful favorable review)

The G5 is a durable, well designed mouse. I have been using it for over a year now with no problems. It’s very comfortable in the hand and the ability to add or subract weight from it (by adding little weights that fit inside on the bottom) makes it perfect for the gamer. By adding or subtracting weight you can get the feel and the flow that you are looking for. Once you find that “sweet spot” weight, you will really get spoiled by this mouse.

This is my first time buying such an expensive mouse but I was so glad that I did. The FPS game I play on it, make fragging so much easier and weapon switching quicker.
